The
Fertile Being classes were born out of my desire to further
help my fertility clients bring balance to their bodies, minds and
spirits. Again and again, I’d hear from them during our sessions
together how alone they felt in their struggles and how much more
stressful their lives had become as a result of not being able to
conceive a baby. I realized there was an entire community of people
who felt the same way and could benefit from getting to know one
another while learning new tools for stress reduction, relaxation
and emotional processing. Since its inception in fall of 2007,
Fertile Being has created a much-needed community of support
for those undergoing fertility challenges of all kinds.
The
six-week format of the class is designed to create a nourishing
and supportive environment to help to calm the nervous system, increase
coping skills, deepen body awareness and improve circulation and
energy flow to the pelvic organs… also known as balancing
the body, mind and spirit! The series is geared toward all levels
of students, helping bring more awareness to the physical, emotional
and mental states of being through a variety of self-care tools
such as yoga-inspired movement, meditation, breathing techniques,
guided visualizations, journaling and more.
The
Fertile Being Couples Class incorporates the tools above while bringing
you closer together as true partners on the journey to becoming
parents. All classes are held at Treetop Studio, 111 North College
Avenue in downtown Fort Collins. To learn more, please contact catherine@fertilebeing.com.

Student feedback:
“I enjoyed this class more than I could have imagined.
When we signed up, I figured it would be “good” for
me but had no idea how good! Aside from the relaxing/healing aspects
of the yoga, meditation and journaling, it was liberating
to spend time with people living through the same experience.”

“I loved this class. Especially helpful to me was the
journal work,
the guided visualizations, and last but probably most important,
starting to bring awareness to my own thoughts and how to begin
the task of changing them. I also got a lot out of hearing other
people's stories and came away with a sense of hopefulness
that I did not have before the class. Definitely worth the money!”

“Each week was like a mini retreat- wonderful! Thank
you!”
